Inside CNN Studio Tours
Get in on all of the action of TV news making at the headquarters of CNN and Headline News. The CNN studio tour includes the Control Room Theater, the Special Effects Studio, and the Main Newsroom. The 55-minute guided tours depart every 10 minutes daily from 9 AM to 5 PM.
The Georgia Aquarium
Feel like you are swimming with the fishes. Atlanta boasts the world's largest aquarium, teeming with more than 100,000 animals of 500 species, eight million gallons of fresh and marine waters, and five galleries depicting various habitats. The Georgia Aquarium is open year-round Monday - Thursday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Friday - Sunday 9 AM to 6 PM.
The New World of Coca-Cola
Tour the NEW World of Coca-Cola in the heart of downtown Atlanta. Experience a 4-D movie, a fully operational bottling line, and the opportunity to sample more than 70 products made by The Coca-Cola Company worldwide.
Underground Atlanta
Take in six blocks of shopping, entertainment, and history on the original streets of Atlanta. During the 1920's the development of viaducts elevated the streets one level to improve traffic flow. Merchants moved their operations to the second floor leaving the historic storefronts underground. Revitalized in the late 1980's, Underground Atlanta offers more than 100 specialty stores, dining, and nightlife.
The High Museum of Art
During your stay for the Summit, visit the High Museum of Art to view "Georgia O'Keeffe and the Women of the Alfred Stieglitz Circle," which places the iconic work of O'Keeffe in the context of artistic predecessors also taken under the wing of her husband, photographer/art dealer Alfred Stieglitz. Also on display, "TRANSactions: Contemporary Latin American and Latino Art," featuring works by 48 artists from the museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego.
Tour: CDC Director's Emergency Operations Center
This optional tour will allow Summit participants to see first hand the CDC's Director's Emergency Operations Center--a 24,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility that serves as the command center for the coordination of emergency response to domestic and international public health threats.
